abstract | Enables extensive core sampling of the seabed ground. The robot includes a main robot 3 which moves in the sea by remote control, and a sampling robot 2 which is connected to a manipulator 7 attached to the main robot 3 so as to be movable relative to the seabed ground. The sampling robot 2 has a core tube 11 which excavates the submarine ground by rotation and feeding and introduces the core 18 of the submarine ground by drilling and breaks the introduced core 18 into core pieces 17. The main robot 3 is provided with a core rack 9 for storing the core 17 pieces in the core tube 11. |
