titleOfInvention | Method for producing nonmagnetic one-component black toner particles |
abstract | The present invention comprises the steps of (1) preparing a styrene-acrylic copolymer latex containing 95 to 50% of styrene, 5 to 50% of an acrylic monomer as an anionic emulsifier comprising a carboxylic acid functional group; (2) adding acidified surface treated carbon black and a charge control agent at or below the glass transition temperature of the resin to obtain colored primary aggregated particles of 2 microns or less; and (3) secondary agglomeration above the glass transition temperature. It provides a method for producing nonmagnetic one-component black toner particles comprising the step of producing black toner particles of 2 to 15 microns in size, according to the present invention by a simple method compared to a known method, the particle size of the unit of several microns The nonmagnetic monocomponent black toner particles can be economically produced. |
