The present invention provides improved Li 1 + x [M y Mn (2-y) ] O 4-z S z (0 ≦ x ≦ 0.1, 0.01 ≦ y ≦ 0.5, 0.01 ≦ z ≦ 0.5, M = Mn, Ni, Mg) relates to a 3V class spinel oxide. The present invention also provides a method for preparing a 3V class spinel oxide by carbonate coprecipitation of the starting material of the spinel oxide and calcination after sulfur addition.
