titleOfInvention | Refractory preheating device for edge dam of twin roll sheet casting machine and its method |
abstract | The present invention relates to an edge dam for sealing molten steel outflow from the short side of the casting roll in a twin roll sheet casting machine. In particular, the edge dam refractory is damaged by thermal shock by molten steel supplied at the beginning of casting, or molten steel is formed on the surface of the edge dam refractory. Double roll type sheet casting machine for continuous casting of high quality sheet steel by effectively preheating the edge dam refractory and stably sealing molten steel when preheating to a predetermined temperature to prevent the edge skull from solidifying. Edge dam refractory preheater and its method. The present invention improves the molten steel blocking stability of the edge dam by providing a stable preheating condition as compared with the conventional, and can be preheated faster than the one-side heating in the past by heating from both sides at the same time. Since the present invention preheats quickly, the speed is additionally improved. |
