| abstract | The refastenable absorbent garment includes a pair of side portions defining opposing side edges and a landing portion extending between the side portions, the landing portion and a front body panel in which each side portion is separated by a perforation line. The back body panel includes opposite side edges joined to opposite side edges of the front body panel to form side seams. The hook-like fastening member includes a carrier member secured to the side portion of the front body panel at the front of the side seam and a plurality of hooks extending from the carrier member, at least a portion of the plurality of hooks engaging the landing. Also provided is a method of making an absorbent garment and securing the absorbent garment to a user. In another aspect, the absorbent garment includes a fastening member that includes a body panel having a length and two or more coupling portions that removably couple the body panel.
