The present invention relates to a process for preparing cyclic compounds via combinatorial synthesis based on Suzuki coupling, subsequent halo-demetallization, and final Suzuki coupling. Suzuki coupling is performed using boronic acid and boronic acid esters, respectively. The invention also relates to the corresponding ring compounds and the novel synthetic units used for this purpose. The ring compound according to the present invention is preferably used as a component of the liquid crystalline mixture. |
