titleOfInvention Camera module
abstract The camera module includes an imaging lens as a lens driving device for moving in the optical axis direction, the lens driving device has electronic driving means for driving the imaging lens with an electromagnetic force by using a magnet and a coil, and the imaging lens is rectangular in plan view. The magnet and the coil are arrange | positioned along each of the at least 1 pair of mutually opposing sides of a rectangular shape. Taking advantage of the characteristic that the imaging lens is rectangular in shape, magnets and coils of the lens driving apparatus are arranged along at least one set of opposite sides. For this reason, the camera module which made the footprint (occupied space) of a lens drive apparatus small can be provided compared with the case where a magnet is arrange | positioned at the corner part of an imaging lens.
