titleOfInvention Liquid crystal display device and manufacturing method thereof
abstract An object of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal display device having an alignment film subjected to alignment treatment by photo alignment, in which a residual image is quickly eliminated to obtain a liquid crystal display device of high image quality. The orientation film 113 has photoconductive properties. The area where the scanning line 10 is present is not irradiated with the back light, so that the photoconductive effect can not be obtained. The photoresist 30 is disposed under the alignment film 113 disposed above the scanning line 10 in order to quickly transfer the charge of this portion to the alignment film 113 of the opening 55 and to eliminate the after- do. Since the thickness of the photoresist 30 is about 1.5 占 퐉 and the thickness of the alignment film 113 is 20 times or more of 70 nm, the resistance in the lateral direction is small at the portion where the photoresist 30 is present. Therefore, the charge on the alignment film 113 existing on the scanning line 10 moves to the alignment film 113 of the opening 55 in an early stage and disappears, so that the afterimage disappears prematurely.
