A process for producing an aldehyde compound of the present invention is a process for producing an aldehyde compound represented by the following general formula (a1) or (a2) by reacting a compound represented by the following general formula (a1) In the presence of a base, hydrogen and carbon monoxide to synthesize an aldehyde compound. (1) 0.01 to 300 ppm mmol of metal contained in the Group 8 to Group 10 metal compound is added to 1 mol of the compound represented by the general formula (a1) or (a2). (2) The molar ratio of the phosphorus compound (mol) to the metal (mol) is 100 or more. |
