| abstract |
The present invention relates to a method of treating hydrocarbons, wherein as the crude oil is loaded into the reservoir (12), as indicated by arrow A, an exhaust gas containing a mixture of VOC and inert gas from the reservoir (12) . This exhaust gas is compressed and transferred to the burner 32 of the boiler 34 as indicated by the arrow D. The burner also receives oil 14 as a supplementary fuel to provide stable combustion, as indicated by arrow F, and the supply of oil 14 is automatically adjusted according to the Weber index and flow rate of the exhaust gas. The steam generated in the boiler 34 by burning the fuel is used to remove the wax component or to heat the oil 14 for other purposes. |
