abstract The present invention relates to a monoclonal polymorphic marker composition for predicting the prognosis of ulcerative colitis in Asians and to a method for predicting the prognosis of ulcerative colitis using the same. We found 3 independent independent cohorts-derived HLA fine-mapping data for 1,324 ulcerative colitis patients (972 bad prognosis cases and 352 good prognosis cases) and 587 ulcerative colitis patients (463 In this case, we analyzed the case of rs9268877 SNP, which is associated with the prognosis of ulcerative colitis, using the reproducible data of the poor prognosis case and 124 cases of good prognosis. Accordingly, the present invention can be usefully used for diagnosing a prognosis of ulcerative colitis, establishing a therapeutic strategy, and conducting a patient-specific treatment.
