abstract | (Problems to be solved) A liquid crystal aligning agent capable of obtaining a liquid crystal display element that not only has good printability but also maintains good electric characteristics even after a long time of driving. The liquid crystal aligning agent is obtained by a method comprising the steps of: A) mixing at least one polymer (a) selected from the group consisting of A) a polyamic acid obtained by reacting a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride with a diamine and a polyimide obtained by dehydrocondensing the polyamic acid, (B) at least one kind of solvent selected from the group consisting of C) 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone, N-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone and compounds represented by the following formula (c). |
