abstract |
The present invention relates to a plating bath composition and a method for depositing a palladium layer by electroless plating on a substrate. The aqueous acidic plating bath according to the present invention comprises a source for palladium ions, a reducing agent, a nitrogenation complexing agent for palladium ions and at least two moieties, wherein at least one moiety is a hydrophilic moiety and at least one moiety has a negative mesomery effect. and a water-soluble stabilizer selected from the group consisting of aromatic compounds. The plating bath maintains a sufficient plating rate while having increased stability against undesired degradation. |
