Novel Lactic Acid Bacteria Inhibit Plaque Formation in Human Oral cavity |
abstract |
The present invention relates to novel bacteria for inhibiting glucan and plaque formation. Novel bacteria that inhibit glucan or plaque formation were named Streptococcus durans 1357 (KCTC 0360BP) and Lactobacillus sp. V20 (KCTC 0361BP) isolated from lactic acid bacteria that degrade carbohydrates.n n n These novel strains showed significantly higher glucan inhibition and plaque formation effects in experiments using disposable cuvettes and orthodontic wires. In addition, plaque formation was significantly suppressed in actual clinical trials. |
