abstract |
The present invention relates to methods and compositions related to the diagnosis and treatment of breast and related cancers. The present invention describes compositions and methods for detecting BRCA1 gene products in vivo and in vitro and methods for diagnosing abnormal localization of intracellular BRCA1 protein using anti-BRCA1 antibodies. Also described herein are methods for identifying BRCA1 related proteins that act upon proper translocation of the BRCA1 gene product to the cell nucleus. |
