The present invention relates to a method of treating a mammal in need of treating cancer or bacterial or protozoan infection. The method comprises co-administering a pharmaceutically effective amount of a macrolide antibiotic and a substance P antagonist. The invention also includes methods of preventing or treating vomiting associated with macrolide antibiotic administration. In addition, the present invention includes novel compositions comprising macrolide antibiotics and substance P antagonists. |
