The present invention provides an improved fiber reinforced product comprising at least two plies. Each layer of ply is a cord made from (a) rubber and (b) melt-spun non-metallic multifilament fibers with a twist coefficient of about 375 or less, a stress of at least 1.7 grams / denier at an elongation of 1%, and an initial compression coefficient At least about 7 grams / denier, wherein the two or more plies have a fiber orientation angle of at least about 23 °. The composite is useful as a tire belt in a tire of a passenger car. |
