abstract | The cyanide-containing compound is provided by a metathesis process that uses ion exchange to facilitate the double-cleavage reaction that is exchanged to produce cyanide salt products. In one embodiment of the present invention, the HCN can be converted to an alkali salt using a base. The alkaline cyanide salt is ion-exchanged to produce the desired cyanide salt product. In another embodiment of the present invention, the hydrogen cyanide is first converted directly to the cyanide salt on the ion exchange without being converted to basic basic salts. |
