Herein, (I) a transition metal compound containing (i) a group having two cyclopentadiene type anionic skeletons linked directly or via a bridging group with each other and (b) a hafnium atom as the central metal, andn n n (ii) a catalyst for addition polymerization, comprising (a) a group having an anionic skeleton of two substituted cyclopentadiene types which are not linked to each other and (b) a transition metal compound containing a zirconium atom or a titanium atom as the central metal ingredient; Andn n n (II) A method for producing a catalyst for addition polymerization, comprising contacting the catalyst component with an activating promoter component. |
