titleOfInvention | Direct production of high purity fischer-tropsch wax |
abstract | Hydrocarbon wax products prepared from hydrocarbon synthesis slurries comprising liquid synthesis products and catalyst particles are purified by introducing a portion of the hydrocarbon synthesis slurry from the hydrocarbon synthesis zone into the treatment zone where the process gas contacts the hydrocarbon synthesis slurry. Hydrogen or a hydrogen containing gas is usefully used as a treatment gas. Gas treatment removes impurities from the hydrocarbon wax portion of the hydrocarbon synthesis slurry. The purified wax product is separated and removed via wax recovery means in situ. This method eliminates or reduces the need for further treatment of the wax product. |
