Development of monoclonal antibodies specific for antigens with low immunogenicity and methods, kits and compositions using them |
abstract |
The present invention traditionally relates to the development and use of monoclonal antibodies specific for low immunogenic antigens. The present invention provides a method of chemically conjugating an antigen of a desired molecule to a carrier molecule that is immunized with a conjugated antigen to allow the immune system to respond thereto to produce a monoclonal antibody. The invention also provides conjugated antigen compositions as well as monoclonal antibody compositions specific for such conjugated antigens. The invention also provides kits that can be used to detect disease states using monoclonal antibodies. |
