titleOfInvention | In-line multi-cylinder engine |
abstract | This invention makes it a technical subject to provide the series multicylinder engine which can efficiently cool the continuous thickness wall part near top dead center.n n n As a solution for this, a cooling water guide surface 8a penetrating into the lower half portion 5b is formed on the upper portion of the lower continuous thickness wall portion 3b. The cooling water guide surface 8a is made to increase as the slit-shaped inlet 7a approaches the left and right central portions of the downward continuous thickness wall portion 3b. The coolant 9 flowing into the lower half portion 5b from the slit-shaped inlet 7a is introduced into the coolant guide surface 8a, so that the crosswise concave upward between the left and right head bolt attachment bosses 6a and 6b. It faces the casting surface of the channel upper part 5a. |
