The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing and using a variable-focus semi-solid zoom lens, a variable-focus lens and an optical device containing such a variable-focus semi-solid lens. The focal length can be controlled by changing the shape, size, dimensions, geometry, outer diameter, or surface curvature of the semi-solid lens. The change in focal length can be achieved by using a pressure control device coupled with the semi-solid lens. The semi-solid lens is also mounted in the housing. |
