Some embodiments include a method of forming a diode, in which the first electrode is formed to have a support extending upward from the base. One or more layers are deposited along the wavy topography that extends over the support and the base, and a second electrode is formed over the one or more layers. The first electrode, the one or more layers, and the second electrode together form a structure, wherein the structure is configured to carry current between the first electrode and the second electrode when a voltage having one polarity is applied to the structure. And to prevent current from flowing between the first electrode and the second electrode when a voltage having a polarity opposite to the one polarity is applied to the structure. Some embodiments include a diode, the diode having a first electrode having two or more protrusions extending upward from the base, one or more layers above the first electrode, and a second electrode above the one or more layers. . |
