A method of making an elastic nonwoven composite is provided that contains an elastic film laminated to one or more nonwoven web materials. The method includes forming an elastic film from the polymer composition and passing the film and a nonwoven web material having a basis weight of about 5 gsm to about 30 gsm through a nip formed by at least one patterned roll. The patterned roll includes raised coupling elements that repeat in the machine direction and the elements are spaced apart by less than about 760 μm in the machine direction. In the nip, the film and nonwoven web material are melt fused at the same time while the film is pulled at a stretch ratio of at least about 1.5 in the machine direction. |
