abstract |
The number of pixels is increased and the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines are increased as the display device is finer. When the number of gate lines and the number of signal lines are increased, it is difficult to mount an IC chip having a driving circuit for driving them by bonding or the like, which increases the manufacturing cost. A pixel portion and a driving circuit for driving the pixel portion are formed on the same substrate, and at least a part of the circuit of the driving circuit is composed of a thin film transistor using an oxide semiconductor sandwiching the gate electrode therebetween. The pixel portion and the driver circuit are formed on the same substrate, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. |
