| abstract | The module for storing high-level radioactive waste comprises: an outer shell comprising a sealed bottom; And an inner shell positioned within the outer shell to form a cavity and to define a space therebetween. At least one separator extends from the top of the inner shell to the bottom of the inner shell and forms a plurality of inflow passages respectively through the space and to the bottom of the cavity. Each of the plurality of inlet ducts includes an inlet duct that connects at least one of the inlet passages to the ambient atmosphere and is attached to the surrounding perforated inlet wall. A removable lid is positioned on top of the inner shell and includes at least one outflow passage connecting the cavity with the ambient atmosphere and the tops of the lid and the inner shell are each configured to form a seal at the top of the cavity . |
