abstract The present invention relates to novel cell permeable peptides and uses thereof. The peptide of the present invention is a human anexin protein-derived amino acid sequence, which not only has excellent cell permeability but also shows a slow degradation rate in serum without cytotoxicity. In addition, the objective cargo (e.g., beta-galactosidase) bound to the peptide of the present invention is stably and effectively transported intracellularly (cytoplasmic). Accordingly, the drug delivery system comprising the peptide of the present invention, and the method and composition for delivering the target cargo using the peptide of the present invention are useful for the treatment of diseases or diseases, detection of specific cells, diagnosis of diseases (e.g. cancer) In-vivo imaging and the like.
