abstract Improvements and modifications are described in U.S. Patent Nos. 6,885,496; 6,891,658; 7,286, 280; 7,760,417 and 8,040,591, which are incorporated herein by reference in their entirety. (A) inhibiting or preventing charging, electrophoretic migration, unwanted non-uniform distribution and lateral movement of the TIR-flurous tracing particles by encapsulating or tethering the particles to the beaded front plane surface; (b) inhibiting or preventing precipitation of the TIR-flurous tracing particles, such as modifying the viscosity of the low refractive index medium; And (c) inhibiting or preventing the non-uniformity of the applied electric field during a display operation, such as using a conforming backside electrode.
