An airbag fabric excellent in airtightness, foldability, and abrasion resistance, and a method of manufacturing the same, is disclosed, though the airbag is made of a relatively low density fiber base material for weight reduction. The fabric for the airbag of the present invention comprises a fibrous substrate and a coating layer on said fibrous substrate. The fiber substrate comprises warp yarns and wefts each having a fineness of 200 to 500 dtex, and has a warp density and weft density of 20 to 46 th / inch. The friction coefficient for the airbag has a degree of coiling of 15N or less in both the fabric tilting direction and the warp direction and the friction coefficient mu of the surface of the airbag fabric on which the coating layer is formed is 1.0 or less. |
