Synthetic and electrochemical properties of polymer electrolytes based on new types of polar polysiloxane polymers are described. Unlike ethylene oxide-based polymers, these materials are at least 4.2V, at a high energy operating voltage using positive electrode materials such as lithium nickel cobalt aluminum oxide (NCA) and lithium nickel cobalt manganese oxide (NCM). It is oxidatively stable. The use of these polymer electrolytes as an alternative to PEO in solid state lithium cells has been described. |
