The gene of the first glucuronic acid transferase that catalyzes the transfer of glucuronic acid to the hydroxyl group at position 3 of the oleanane-type triterpenoid is identified. Provided is a glucuronic acid first transferase gene derived from leguminous plants (soybean, ragweed and bee yellow) and having a target activity consisting of the nucleotide sequences shown in SEQ ID NOs: 2, 4, and 6, respectively. |
