An invented model / method of optical design for controlling all costs, including materials and production of IR imaging lenses. This model / method of optical construction includes a rain lens and aberration correction lens. This design model / method makes it possible to produce cost-effective IR imaging lenses because the unit cost of a cast lens is low due to high production volumes, and the unit cost of aberration correction lens is low due to very low production. This optical construction model / method includes any imaging and spectral devices for any partial range from 1 to 14 microns, such as, but not limited to, short wave IR, medium wavelength IR and long wave IR radiation. |
