abstract The present invention relates to an absorbent structure that is a honeycomb for adults or babies or an article for feminine hygiene or that is suitable for use in those articles, comprising a water absorbing material which comprises water absorbent particles comprising a film coating and this comprises an elastic film-forming polymer and a coalescing agent. The invention also relates to an absorbent structure comprising a water absorbent material that is obtained by the process of: a) Spraying the water absorbent polymer particles with an elastic film-forming polymer in a fluidized bed reactor to a fluidized bed reactor. temperature from 0 degree C to 150 degree C, and b) heat treat the coated polymer particles at a temperature greater than 50 degree C, where in step a) or b) a coalescing agent is added.
