titleOfInvention FORENSIC IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM FOR SOFT COMPUTING BASED CRANEOFACIAL SUPERPOSITION.
abstract The present invention is given by an automatic method and system that support the forensic anthropologist in the task of identification by craniofacial overlap. First, the system automatically builds a three-dimensional model from a device that provides partial views of the skull. Subsequently, said model is superimposed on a photograph of the missing person, modeling the uncertainty inherent in the pairing of two different objects: a skull and a face. Finally, the system issues a recommendation of the result of the identification process to the forensic anthropologist.
