titleOfInvention | PREPARATION OF BIOFUELS FROM THE LATEX DEL GUAYULE (PARTHENIUM ARGENTATUM) AND NATURAL HULES OF THE SPECIES CASTILLA ELASTICA AND HEVEA BRASILIENSIS. |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for the production of biofuels using as a raw material the latex of the guayule (Parthenium argentatum) or other types of natural rubber latex such as the rubber of Tabasco (elastic Castile) and the rubber of Oaxaca and Veracruz ( Hevea brasiliensis), as well as industrial wastes based on natural rubber such as gloves, shoe soles, hoses, waste tires, among others; to obtain low molecular weight oligomers that can be used in the production of biofuels. The processing is carried out via green metathesis under mild conditions of temperature and pressure, in the presence or absence of solvents; using olefins, essential oils or vegetable oils such as ATC and complex catalysts alkylidene carbons or vinylidenes of transition metals such as W, Mo, Ru, Os, Re, among others. If the processing is carried out in the presence of olefins or essential oils, the products obtained are low molecular weight hydrocarbons that can be used as biofuels. If the processing is carried out in the presence of vegetable oils, the oligomers obtained must be transesterified to obtain a mixture of biofuels: diesel type hydrocarbons and biodiesel type methyl esters. A special case of the present invention is the processing of the guayule latex because it contains in its formulation three-esters of fatty acids and terpenes, ie vegetable and essential oils and therefore; For processing via green metathesis, an ATC may or may not be added. The oligomers obtained from this processing must undergo transesterification to obtain the mixture of biofuels: diesel hydrocarbons and biodiesel methyl ethers. |
