A system for the storage of luggage for fast loading which includes a storage transporter with luggage carriers with multiple trays to receive the bags for fast loading from the baggage handling system, for example, from an airport and to unload said bags. for fast loading on said baggage handling system. The storage conveyor is accommodated in a serpentine mode for efficient use of horizontal space and includes equitably separate inlet and discharge stations. The system can deliver the bags to the baggage handling system in a selected period of time to take into account changes in flight departure times or changes in passenger travel plans. |
