The present invention provides new substituted tricyclic carobxamides that act as competitive oxytocin receptor antagonists, as well as methods for their manufacture, pharmaceutical compositions and methods for use in treatment, inhibition, suppression or prevention of premature delivery, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, labor suppression. at the end before practicing a caesarean section, and to facilitate antinatal transport to a medical facility.
