titleOfInvention | MIXED BISIMIDAZOLINS AS ACTIVE PRINCIPLES OF CORROSION INHIBITING COMPOSITIONS. |
abstract | The present invention relates to new bisimidazolines belonging to the family of imidazolines and are bicyclic compounds which have in the structure of the imidazolinic ring two identical or different substituents that can be hydrogen, oleyl, naphtenyl, dodecylbenzenesulfonyl, abieyl or dehydroabieyl. The two imidazoline rings are linked by carbon two (C2) or by the tertiary nitrogen atom (NI) with a hydrocarbon chain or with a chain of ethyl diamino units that are repeated one to three times. These bisimidazolines can be used in hydrocarbons with a distillation range of 10¦C to 4OOOC at concentrations (10 to 20 ppm) lower than those used in other compounds reported in the inhibition of corrosion of atmospheric distillation towers with heavy crudes that are highly corrosive due to its high content of salts and heavy metals such as vanadium and nickel. |
