| abstract |
The invention relates to a method comprising: a step for dispersing trimmed filaments and discontinuous fibers of PVOH in an aqueous process liquor, then a forming step for a bed in a forming device by passing the dispersion over a formation fabric, through which the liquor of the aqueous process is drained, the filaments and fibers are retained on the fabric, then a step of the heat treatment in a healing device. The PVOH fibers give a degree of resistance to the bed of fibers in formation. The method provides a veil with a very high degree of tensile strength for a low level of binding agents. |
