This invention relates to novel derivatives of arylureido-benzoic acid, useful as selective and non-competitive antagonists of the GluR5 ionotropic receptor; Due to its biological activity, the arylureide derivatives of the invention are considered useful for the treatment of diseases that respond to the modulation of an aspartate or glutamate receptor; In addition, the invention provides chemical compounds for use in accordance with the invention, as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising chemical compounds, and methods of treatment of diseases, disorders or conditions that respond to the modulation of an aspartate or glutamate receptor. |
