Hearing protection system, comprising: a muffler adapted to connect acoustically to, preferably in, a user's ear canal, the muffler defining after connection an acoustically dampened space extending at least into the ear canal; a first sound level meter adapted to measure, in use, a first sound level in the acoustically attenuated space; and a communication device adapted to provide an indication of the measured first sound level, the first sound level meter preferably being mechanically connected to the muffler. |
