| abstract | The hammer e.g. for panel beating, has a handle (3) and a head (2). Opposite the striking face (4) of the head an electrode (5) is provided. The electrode is preferably secured in a holder (7) connected with a conductor (9) running through the length of the handle, whose flexible external portions(10) can be connected with one terminal of a source of electric current (11) such as a welding transformer, the other terminal being connected to the workpiece. A switch (12) may be provided to control the current. The hammer may be provided with a scraper (15). The electrode and holder are preferably in copper. The holder may be capable of receiving a welding electrode. |
