abstract |
The present disclosure relates to compounds and methods for modulating transcription activated by beta-catenin/TCF, such as the selective inhibition of genes targeted by the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway. In particular, disclosed is a method for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of cancer wherein the method comprises the following steps: a) determining whether or not an agent increases the binding of p300 to beta-catenin and decreases the binding of CPB to beta-catanin; b) selecting an agent which increases the binding of p300 to beta-catenin and decreases the binding of CBP to beta-catenin; and c) combining the agent selected in step b) with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers wherein the agent is a compound having a structure selected from formula (I). |
