Provided is a functional four helical bundle (4HB) polypeptide comprising one or more non-naturally encoded amino acid(s) that have been incorporated ribosomally at selected position(s) into a 4HB polypeptide by translation in a non-human host cell. Further provided are methods of producing the polypeptides and corresponding nucleic acid sequences comprising at least one selector codon for ribosomal incorporation of non-naturally occurring amino acids. |
