Disclosed herein are dibenzo[b,e][1,4]dioxepine derivatives of formula (I), wherein X is O, R3 is OR', and the other substituents are as defined within the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Said compounds are useful in the treatment of diabetes or a metabolic syndrome such as insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, abnormal glucose tolerance, obesity, adiposis, hepatica, hyperuricacidemia, arthrolithiasis, hyperlipedia, hyperchloesteremia, artherosclerosis or hypertension. |
