titleOfInvention | Lining pipes by projecting heated resin at the pipe wall by centrifugal force from a spinning dissipation device |
abstract | An in situ pipe lining apparatus (100) is disclosed. The lining operation is performed by spreading a liquid liner onto the interior surface of the pipe using a rotating and reciprocating head (400) that sprays towards the surface. The apparatus (100) as a whole has a housing (102) attached to an operating position by an umbilical (104). The umbilical (104) has at least one air hose, at least one electrical power cable, at least one video communication cable, and lining component hoses. The lining components are heated by a heater in the housing before being directed at the head (400) in a stream from a nozzle (111) where they are mixed and then directed outwards towards the pipe wall. The head (400) includes a rotating dissipation device shaped as two reversely aligned cones on which an impingement block mixes the lining components and projects the lining at a specific angle of trajectory to the dissipation device. The stream of lining components may be remotely controlled by directly shutting of the nozzle (111) directing the flow at the head (400). Wheel or tracks may be used to move the apparatus (100) though the pipe. |
