titleOfInvention | Oxide-fluoride titanium-germanate glasses with luminescent properties in the mid-infrared range and the method of their preparation |
abstract | The subject of the application are oxide-fluoride titanium-germanate glasses with unique luminescent properties in the mid-infrared range and the method of their preparation. The glasses are characterized by the following composition and proportions of the reactants: titanium oxide TiO2 in the amount of 5 to 55 mol%, germanium oxide GeO2 in the amount of 5 to 55 mol%, barium oxide BaO in the amount of 0 to 35 mol%, fluoride barium BaF2 in an amount up to 30 mol%, gallium oxide Ga2O3 in an amount from 4.5 to 19.5 mol%, erbium fluoride ErF3 in an amount from 0.5 to 2 mol%. The application also includes the method of receiving the above-mentioned lenses. This method, carried out in a chamber without air access to the reactants, consists in placing the crucible with the mixture of reactants in a furnace, where it is heated to a temperature of 180 to 220 ° C and left for at least 45 minutes, then the mixture of reactants melts is kept at a temperature of 1150 to 1300 ° C in a continuous blow of inert gas, and the obtained alloy is held at this temperature for 45 to 90 minutes to homogenize it, after which glass samples are made by pouring the molten mass into a mold heated to a temperature from 275 to 325 ° C, and in the cast glass samples, thermal stresses are eliminated by heating them at a temperature of 275 to 325 ° C for at least 15 minutes, characterized by the fact that the synthesis is carried out with the following reagent proportions: titanium oxide TiO2 in the amount from 5 to 55 mol%, germanium oxide GeO2 in an amount from 5 to 55 mol%, barium oxide BaO in an amount from 0 to 35 mol%, barium fluoride BaF2 in an amount up to 30 mol%, gallium oxide Ga2O3 in an amount of 4.5 to 19.5 mole%, erbium fluoride ErF3 in an amount of 0.5 to 2 mole%. The products obtained are transparent and completely amorphous materials of pink color, which emit intense radiation in the mid-infrared range at a wavelength of 2.7 µm. |
