abstract SUBSTANCE: treatment of an aqueous suspension of waste with sodium carbonate with a coefficient of excess of 3.5 from stoichiometry with respect to the sum of barium sulfide and barium sulfate in a slurry in an autoclave at a temperature of 200-213 ° C. The autoclaved product is treated with mineral acid, taken in excess of 1.4-1.6 from stoichiometry with respect to the content of barium carbonate in the autoclaved product. The barium recovery from the sludge was 99%.
