abstract FIELD: chromatography. SUBSTANCE: novel method comprised steps of applying sample including hydantoin, 1-aminohydantoin, furadoin and furagin to thin-layer chromatographic plate, chromatography using admixture of chloroform and methanol as mobile phase, chlorination with use of free chlorine and sprinkling with potassium iodide dissolved in ethyleneglycol. Thus obtained colored product was scraped off into beaker, diluted with water and then treated with N, N-dimethyl-n-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride dissolved in 95-percent solution of ethanol.
